This one was big for me, usually I’m on the animation side of things but this time I sat right at the helm of design. Encouraged to design freely in my own style, and armed with a simple script about a father-son fishing adventure, this was truly a joy to create. Once the cool kids (cel animators) finished their part, I dove headfirst into a crash course of cel cleanup (aka podcast time) which was tedious but surprisingly meditative. This piece was so fun from start to finish. It’s rare to learn so much in such a short time but easy when you’re working with such all-star artists.
